Air Container Specifications
Air Freight Container Sizes
- Air containers are also known as Unit Load Devices, or ULDs and have a 3 letter code
- The first leter indicates container type: A= container P= pallet R = thermal certified
- The second letter indicates base dimension: A= 2.23 x 3.17 L= 1.53 x 3.17 K= 1.53 x 1.56
- The third letter indicates other technical information such as whether the container contains forklift slots
- The infomation is a guide only. Actual demensions and capacities differ between manufactures and airlines
- There are multiple other container sizes not listed here
